Jordan and I spent a week in Florida to visit two of our NEON sites: Disney and Ordway-Swisher Biological Station. While we were there, we teamed up with Rob and Haley Nelson of Untamed Science to film some videos! More on that soon....
Our first stop was Disney. This site was a bit wet, but we got to see a lot of Longleaf Pine! Longleaf pine use to cover much of the southeast, but now is limited to about 5% of its range from before the arrival of European settlers. We unfortunately (fortunately?) did not see a wild hog.
Next we went to Ordway-Swisher Biological Station. I know I say this after most sites, but this one might be favorite!! Here is Jordan with a few more beautiful Live Oaks.
